They Never Expected To Find This When They Cleaned Out Their Roomba

Snakes, while logically not all that terrible, do have a bit of a reputation for getting into places where they don’t belong. Slipping effortlessly into the tight spaces that we can’t easily reach, these slithery critters are excellent when it comes to evading us. Don’t believe me? Check out where this snake decided to hide.

Tomer Avni invested in a Roomba cleaning robot for his apartment, and by all accounts, it was working great…until he went to clean it.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

That’s when he found a rather large snake, later identified as an Asian Racer, stuck inside of the machine. Avni quickly called a snake catcher to remove it.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

Fortunately, these animals aren’t poisonous.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

That being said, this snake’s first encounter with the Roomba proved to be its last, so there was no real threat of being bitten.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

So I guess Roomba can start advertising their products as snake catchers, too. It might be a good thing to buy if you live somewhere with a reptile problem. Just saying.
